Functional Movement Screening & Treatment

Functional testing in sports therapy involves a set of movement evaluations designed to gauge how effectively an athlete can execute sport-specific activities. Rather than solely focusing on individual muscle strength or joint flexibility, it assesses how well an athlete can perform the dynamic, coordinated actions essential to their sport.

Following the evaluation, the therapist will develop a personalized treatment plan which may include:

  • Manual therapy techniques
  • Therapeutic exercises to improve strength, flexibility, and range of motion
  • Functional training exercises to address movement patterns
  • Education on injury prevention strategies
